Modern dental microscopes almost completely eliminate the disadvantages of traditional treatment and significantly increase the effectiveness of the treatment! Thanks to the use of a microscope, we are able to reach hard-to-reach places - e.g. narrow and unusually built canals, which, if left untreated, would cause pain over time and force the patient to re-treat the tooth. The microscope also allows for the treatment of bent and oblated canals, which would practically qualify the tooth for extraction under traditional treatment. Another advantage is the shorter treatment time for the defect - in many cases we are able to close the treatment even in one visit.
However, we use the microscope in our office not only in endodontics, but also in conservative treatment - caries treatment under the microscope allows for exceptional precision, thanks to which we can save healthy tooth tissue and fill the cavity very tightly. A tooth treated in such a way may not give the patient the slightest cause for anxiety for many years.
