We approach the treatment of young patients comprehensively, because we know that from an early age it is worth teaching good habits that will bear fruit in the future. We are young parents ourselves, which is why we take care of every toddler who sits on our dental chair. Visits to our office are painless and stress-free - we successfully fight the myth that a visit to the dentist's office hurts. We do not want children to be scared - on the contrary - we want a visit to the dentist to be associated with a pleasant atmosphere, full of care, kindness and respect.
We do not use force to treat children!
For both the child and the parent, it is very stressful for a toddler to knock out a tooth. How to proceed in such a situation? First of all, it is worth knowing that if the tooth can be put back into the socket within an hour after the accident, there is a chance to save it. We only re-insert permanent teeth - milk teeth could damage permanent teeth.
How to proceed when breaking a tooth? When we notice that the child has knocked out a tooth, we must locate it as soon as possible. When it is successful, the tooth is picked up by the crown (never by the root!) And placed back in the socket (if the child cooperates and allows it to be performed), in milk, in a special fluid or in the child's mouth - in the space between the teeth and cheek. Now it is important to get to the dentist's office as soon as possible. Fortunately, in many cases such a knocked out tooth can be saved and the toddler can enjoy a full, healthy bite despite the trauma.
